Description

Delight in the Scriptures Daily for Youth is a daily Come Follow Me Doctrine and Covenants study guide that follows the weekly schedule of Come Follow Me 2025. Each week’s readings are broken down into daily chunks so everything gets read by the end of the week. There is also a daily prompt question based on seminary manual lesson.
An example week includes the following questions:
April 7-13
“Lift Up Your Voices … to Declare My Gospel”
  • Day 1: Doctrine and Covenants 31:1–5; 33:1–15 – What truths do you find in the Savior’s counsel in these verses to Thomas B Marsh (section 31), Ezra Thayer and Northrop Sweet (section 33) that help you understand why the Savior asks us to share His gospel? Why do you think Jesus Christ referred to His gospel as “glad tidings of great joy” (Doctrine and Covenants 31:3)? How does the Savior’s gospel bring you joy?
  • Day 2: Doctrine and Covenants 34 – What truths do you find in the Savior’s counsel in these verses to Orson Pratt that help you understand why the Savior asks us to share His gospel? Why do you think we are “more blessed” (Doctrine and Covenants 34:5) for being called to preach the Savior’s gospel than we are for simply believing in it?
  • Day 3: Doctrine and Covenants 35:1–13; 36 – What truths do you find in the Savior’s counsel in these verses to Sidney Rigdon (section 35) and Edward Partridge (section 36) that help you understand why the Savior asks us to share His gospel? Why do you think the Lord calls “unlearned” and inexperienced people to declare His gospel to “the nations” of the earth (Doctrine and Covenants 35:13)?
  • Day 4: Doctrine and Covenants 30:1–11; 31:4–13; 32:1–5 – What counsel do you find in these verses that could help you be more willing and able to share the gospel? Why do you think the Lord is so eager to help us share the gospel?
  • Day 5: Doctrine and Covenants 33:8–12, 16–18; 35:13–16, 24 – What truths do you find in these verses that might help you overcome obstacles to sharing the gospel? Who is someone you feel you could share the gospel with? What are natural and meaningful ways you could help this person come closer to Jesus Christ?
  • Day 6: Doctrine and Covenants 35:17–27 – What do you learn from the section heading of Doctrine and Covenants 35 and verses 17–20 about the Joseph Smith Translation of the Bible? What purpose does the Lord give in Doctrine and Covenants 35:20 for the inspired changes to the Bible?
Every week ends with the following questions: What truths did you learn this week? How have these truths helped your testimony grow? If you’re looking for something that helps you work through the Doctrine and Covenants Come Follow Me readings each week and help you process what you read as well, this study guide can help keep you on track!
This study guide is available in three different covers: a floral cover, a simple icon cover, and an inspirational scripture quote cover.
