Description
Delight in the Scriptures Daily is a daily Come Follow Me New Testament study guide that follows the weekly schedule of Come Follow Me 2027 and is meant to be used with the official resources provided by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Each week’s readings are broken down into daily chunks so everything gets read by the end of the week. There is also a daily prompt question to help you process the doctrines in the scripture sections.
An example week includes the following questions:
May 24–30
“In Remembrance”
- Day 1: Matthew 26:1-13; Mark 14:1-9 – Why do you think this woman’s actions were so meaningful to the Savior? What impresses you about the woman and her faith? How can you emulate her faith and example?
- Day 2: Matthew 26:14-25; Mark 14:10-21 – What do you learn about the disciples from their question to the Lord in these verses? In what situations or relationships in your life should you ask, “Lord, is it I?”
- Day 3: Matthew 26:26-29; Mark 14:22-25 – Why are bread and water such powerful symbols of Jesus Christ? What do you promise as you partake of the sacrament? What promise are you offered? How do you make the sacrament a meaningful experience?
- Day 4: Matthew 26:30-75; Mark 14:26-72 – What lessons does the Spirit teach you as you read about Christ’s suffering in Gethsemane and His betrayal?
- Day 5: John 13:1-17 – What lessons did Christ teach His disciples through His words and actions in these verses? In what ways can you follow the Savior’s example of humble service?
- Day 6: John 13:18-38 – Jesus teaches that our love for others is a true sign of our discipleship. How can you make sure that love is your defining characteristic as a Christian?
Every week ends with the following questions: What truths did you learn this week? How have these truths helped your testimony grow? If you’re looking for something that helps you work through the New Testament Come Follow Me readings each week and help you process what you read as well, this study guide can help keep you on track!
