This daily Come Follow Me New Testament study guide was written specifically for youth and follows the weekly schedule of Come Follow Me 2023. Each week’s readings are broken down into daily chunks so everything gets read by the end of the week. There is also a daily prompt question based on the reading. While our adult study guide focuses almost entirely on thought questions, this study guide highlights some of the doctrinal lessons of each scripture story before asking thought or application questions.
An example week includes the following questions:
February 6–12
“Ye Must Be Born Again”
Day1: John 2:1-11 – Consider the perspectives of the different people witnessing this miracle. What do you think their impressions would have been? What does this miracle teach you about Jesus?
Day 2: John 2:12-25 – In what ways are temples the house of God? How did Jesus’s actions show His reverence for His Father’s house?
Day 3: John 3:1-13 – What do these verses teach about what is necessary for being spiritually reborn and entering the celestial kingdom?
Day 4: John 3:14-36 – How did Heavenly Father sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to the earth show His love for each of us? How have you felt the love of God through the gift of His Son?
Day 5: John 4:1-42 – How is the gospel like living water? What else do you learn from Jesus’s interaction with the woman at the well?
Day 6: John 4:43-54 – Why is it important to believe in Jesus Christ without needing signs? What are some ways that the Lord confirms our belief as you exercise faith in Him?
Every week ends with the following questions: What truths did you learn this week? How have these truths
helped your testimony grow?
